Ahhhhhh Spring Time

The first full day of spring was spent at the NC Zoo. I figured since it was gonna be sunny and just slightly cool it would be a perfect day to walk the zoo, plus I was feeling a bit social today. When we got there apparently everyone else in NC had the same thought. We planned on stopping by Harris Teeter to pick up lunch in Asheboro. There is no Harris Teeter in Asheboro. So we stopped into Samson and the Lion health food store to pick up lunch. It would have been cheaper to drive back to W-S, shop, gas up the jeep and head back down again but since getting into the Zoo is free with our membership we bit the bullet and bought some cheese and one of Nana's cookies since we already had fresh fruit & water with us. It was a good walk from North America to Africa and back again. It was more about walking the path than seeing the animals unless something spectacular was going on. Like watching the red wolves howl back and forth or watching the zoo keepers feed the sea lions and harbor seals. It was a nice day spent with TJ......as usual.
