birthday party & a donkey

What do birthday party's & a donkey have in common? Those were the highlights of our weekend, at least my weekend. On Saturday we attended a surprise birthday party for TJ's mom. Which was a good time. And the donkey is always fun on our daily walks.

Things of the weekend

After dealing with a bout of vertigo this week, still don't know what has kept this around, it didn't keep me down this weekend. We headed off to Raleigh so TJ could pick up his addition to home defense, then to Trader Joe's, then to the Archdale bakery (huge disappointment), quick stop into Mama Laura's (ice cream and hand made truffles), then rolling it back home to get ready for game nite with Mark & Brenda.

Next day, stop in by Mom and Dads and headed out to lunch for fish, did some grocery shopping then headed out for our daily walk. During our walks in the neighborhood down by the pond the geese are getting ready to nest/lay and I always look forward to the babies. It was a full weekend and a good one.

Is it to early?

Today being furlow Friday with a light breeze and 68 temps @ noon I figured it was the perfect day for laundry and to walk the grounds and see what's going on in the flower beds and natural area. The dogwoods have started to bud along with daffodils, oak hydrangea and others. Is it to early for spring? Are they going to get their tips frozen off in the next few weeks? I don't know but I'm ready for spring and all the wonderful things that comes with it. That's right........CAMPING!!!!








I also saw my first honey bee for 2011 today.
