In the yard

This morning while walking around the house I found a small copperhead snake, maybe 14 inch long. I couldn't bring myself to kill it, unlike someone else that lives in this house, so I got a stick and TJ got me a box so I toted it across the road and released it. Of course I didn't have my camera with me, dang it!! But there was other wildlife to be seen in the yard this morning.

My highlight of the weekend.

Taking a break from the 90 degree temps in the shade
by the park office. It was hot but a wonderful weekend.





One of the thousand of frogs & toads that
take up residence at this park. I haven't
seen this many since I was a little kid in
Reaster's swamp back home.





Yes it's a beaver which floated around munching while I
watched and taped him.

The bridge takes you to the boardwalk to
the other side of the park. @ night the frogs & toads sang so loud it hurt the ears.
It was awesome.
